Producers of packaging and non-packaging products, who introduce their products to the market, are responsible for the final destination of their waste and thus also for the financing of sorted waste collection. They do this collectively through producer responsibility organizations (PRO), such as ENVI – PAK.

On behalf of producers in towns and municipalities we provide sorted collection systems so that the waste can be collected, post-sorted and the sorted waste can be recycled. As PRO we cover the costs of sorted collection directly to the appropriate waste collection company without the additional administrative burden for the municipality.

Hence, the producers cover the costs associated with collection, preparation for reuse, recycling, and purchase of colored containers, as well as wages, energy and the sorting line costs. This brings budget savings for municipalities and cities – the more waste will be sorted by municipality or town, the lower the costs for disposal of the remaining residual waste. Efficient set up of sorted collection system becomes free of charge for municipalities and citizens.

In cooperation with the municipality or city and a collection company, we define an effective system of collection, sorting and recovery of sorted waste. We know the cost of sorted collection, because we have many years of experience and we work together with many partners in waste management – associations, technical services and collection companies.

In addition to funding waste collection, we are also responsible for increasing awareness of waste sorting. Therefore we organize regular free training for our partner cities and municipalities, we teach children in schools to separate waste and to protect nature and we continuously support the education of adults in our cities and municipalities.
