The mission of Ekopak is to enable the fulfillment of legal obligations in accordance with the Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management with minimal economic efforts for all of its clients.
The strategy of Ekopak:
- Implementation of legislation on packaging and packaging waste in accordance with the best European and worldwide experience and knowledge.
- Establishment and development of an efficient and effective integrated system of packaging waste management for all types of packaging waste: glass, paper, metal, plastic, and wood.
- Use of existing communal capacities for system establishment and its further development through system development.
- Use of experience and knowledge from the best EU countries’ experience and knowledge.

Operations of Ekopak are based on best EU practices, but also on the highest business standards which are in accordance with the standards of the shareholders.
Ekopak is involved in many social and recycling projects:
-Improving the collection of glass packaging:
As part of the promotional activities for the project “Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans” Ekopak organized, on Saturday 04.06. 2022, in Ilidža – Mala aleja, distribution of information leaflets to the population of this municipality.

-This year’s Coca-Cola project from Source to Sea was completed with the cleaning action on Igman
The cleaning action From the source to the sea was also supported by Ekopak, which was in charge of organizing the collection of waste. During five actions, more than 500 volunteers were engaged and more than five tons of waste were collected.

Ekopak bases its activities on the following principles:
- Fulfillment of legal obligations in accordance with the Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management with the greatest possible ecological benefits, with minimal economic efforts and minimal impact on consumer prices for packaging products.
- All clients are being treated equally.
- Packaging fees will be calculated according to real costs per packaging material and there will be no cross subsidizing.
- There is no intention to make a profit; potential surplus will not be distributed to the owners but reinvested into the operation.
- Ekopak committed to transparent work, based on all legal requests and is subject to all audit controls by authorized bodies and institutions.
- All submitted client data will be protected and treated as confidential.
