ReSimple, a leading collective management organization under Chile’s Extended Producer Responsibility (REP) Law, continues to push the boundaries of recycling and waste management through technology and innovation.
At the core of ReSimple’s operations is its Control Center, launched in 2024, which consolidates real-time data on collection, transport, treatment, and material recovery. Integrated with nine GPS providers, the platform allows supervisors to monitor hundreds of trucks and thousands of collection points simultaneously, improving operational efficiency and ensuring regulatory compliance.
ReSimple has also developed two mobile applications to engage both citizens and operators:

The citizen app provides real-time tracking of recycling trucks, collection schedules, and interactive educational materials. It includes an AI-powered virtual assistant to guide users and explain recycling processes. Currently, the app has over 76,000 active users, demonstrating growing public interest in sustainable waste management.

The operations app enhances efficiency for collection points, transporters, and processing centers by simplifying activity reporting and material management.
To bridge the gap between citizens and the recycling process, ReSimple launched “El viaje del reciclaje” (“The Journey of Recycling”), a virtual reality experience that allows users to explore a classification plant and learn how waste is transformed into new raw materials. This immersive tool addresses the fact that 65% of Chileans are unaware of what happens to waste after collection.
With over 280 trucks, 2,450 collection points, and multiple recycling hubs, ReSimple’s integrated digital system enables large-scale collection and treatment of packaging waste efficiently. The use of real-time data, mobile apps, and VR education not only improves traceability and transparency but also fosters citizen engagement and compliance with Chile’s REP targets.
