New Guidance: Enhancing Circularity in C&I Packaging Waste Management
The management of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) packaging waste presents unique challenges due to the wide variation in volumes and material qualities. Our new discussion paper, “Enhancing Circularity in Commercial and Industrial Packaging Waste Management through Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Schemes,” sets out a pragmatic 10-point roadmap for producers, policymakers and waste managers. It explains how flexible, market-based collection systems can be combined with transparent, net-cost fee structures and harmonized reporting (in line with PPWD and Article 8a of the Waste Framework Directive) to drive true circularity.
